Uniform Design: Hinges, Latches and Panel Support Clamps
The "Uniform Design" product family of hinges, latches, and panel support clamps provides a modern and uniform appearance for enclosures, boxes, and doors. These standard parts are made of zinc die-cast with a black or silver matte textured powder coating. They are fastened to frames or panels using screws, and rubber inserts with spacer sleeves ensure a tension-free connection for glass and plastic panels. T-slot nuts are also available, allowing the hinges and clamps to be mounted onto typical aluminum profiles.
Types
The GN 938 hinge offers a 180-degree swivel range and comes in two sizes: 92 x 60 mm for panels 4-8 mm thick and 122 x 90 mm for panels 8-12 mm thick. Non-rusting stainless steel thrust washers and hinge pins ensure smooth, low-wear movement, while zinc die-cast covers hide the fastening screws.
GN 939 panel support clamps are available in five versions for panels 5-12 mm thick. Depending on the panel's position, either surface or corner clamps are used. In the version with a securing pin, a plastic-coated stainless steel pin helps with positioning. The surface clamp is also available with a stop plate to prevent lateral slippage, such as when used on open railing panels on stairs.
GN 936 slam latches automatically engage when the door closes. The intuitive design makes it easy to locate the release element. These latches are mounted to door frames or profiles, and secured plastic covers protect the screws from unauthorized access. Available with or without a lock, the latches can be supplied with keys that fit either all locks or only one. Once locked, unauthorized removal is impossible, and the key can be removed in both end positions.
