Rivets

A pop rivet is a fastener used mainly in mechanical engineering and steel structures. A pop rivet joint is a bond between two plates or plate-like components that are flattened on top of each other and cannot be released without destroying them. The classic pop rivet is a steel component consisting of a cylindrical shank and a head of various shapes. The head is preformed on one side of the pop rivet and is called the support head. For the pop rivets, the plates to be joined are drilled (preferably together), in the case of smaller diameters, pierced, the rivet is threaded and, depending on the dimensions and the quality of the material, forged hot or cold. As the range of rivets has grown, POP has also added other retractable product groups, rivet nuts and quick release fastening systems to its product range. To ensure the technological background, there is a hand tool or machine tool for the installation of each POP® product.
