E9 – quarter-turn compression latch
The Southco E9 quarter-turn compression latch family combines the functionality of the classic quarter-turn opening/closing E5 cam latch and the E3 vise-action compression latch. Thanks to this, in addition to the quarter-turn opening/closing, the cam also makes a pulling action during the turning movement, improving the quality of the closure and the sealing efficiency. Its installation characteristics and cut-out requirements are identical to those of the E5 types, so it can be used to replace the previous cam latch solution to a compressing design.
