GN 724.4 Indexing Plungers

GN 724.4 Indexing Plungers

The GN 724.4 indexing plungers have a square cross-section plunger pin with a locking surface on one side and a bevel on the other. The plunger pin automatically engages with the locking surface when the object to be secured moves towards the bevel. The locking can be released manually by pulling the pull ring or using a hook with a cable or pull rod. For the rest position type, the plunger pin must be turned sideways to prevent it from protruding. The dimensional tolerances between the plunger pin and the guide are designed to ensure functional reliability, even in cases of welding, corrosion protection coating, or contamination. For welding, the unassembled CU type is particularly recommended to avoid changes in the material's microstructure due to heating of the spring and plunger pin. In this case, the indexing plunger is only assembled after the welded guide has been surface treated.
